Recently, the Meadin Academy Research Institute released the “TOP200 Global Hotel Brands (Greater China) in October 2024.” Among them,hotel brands such as Hampton, Holiday Inn Express, InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Hilton Worldwide, Hyatt Regency, Sheraton, Super 8, Holiday Inn, and Kyriad Marvelous Hotel ranked in the top ten of the overall list.
According to the data, the average index of the TOP 10 brands decreased by 5.56% month-on-month. Due to market competition and weak consumer demand, although leading hotel
brands still hold significant positions in the market, their brand index has slowed down this month. Meanwhile, the average indices of the TOP 100 and TOP 200 brands also decreased by 3.02% and 1.86%, respectively. This further indicates that the entire hotel industry is facing certain challenges in the current market environment, with increasing competition among brands.
Each brand needs to continuously innovate and improve service quality to cope with market changes.

Number of group brands: Marriott International, Wyndham Hotel Group, Accor Hotels, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, InterContinental Hotels Group, Hilton Hotels, Radisson Hotel Group,
Langham HotelGroup, Louvre Hotels Group, and Banyan Group ranked in the TOP 10 with 22, 15, 15, 11, 11, 10, 7, 5, 5, and 5 brands, respectively. Additionally, new hotel groups such as
LUX* Resorts & Hotels and Palazzo Versace have shown positive market expansion trends.
Group brand index growth: 46% showed month-on-month growth, while 50% showed a month-on-month decline, indicating a certain degree of variability in the performance of various
hotel groups. Some groups have successfully achieved steady growth in brand indices through optimizing brand strategies, strengthening market promotion, and improving service quality.
In contrast, other groups have experienced declines in brand indices due to changes in the market environment, internal management issues, or brand aging. Therefore, for hotel groups,
continuously monitoring market dynamics, strengthening brand building and management, and constantly innovating and improving service quality are key to maintaining brand
competitiveness and market position.
