On the inaugural day of the ShenZhong Link, GDToday visited MYSE Group, the leading new energy company. They explored the transformation and upgrade of the industrial parks in Zhongshan's towns and villages at an exhibition, and also toured the Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport Zhongshan Terminal, a regional land and air transport hub.

On the day of the Link's inauguration, GDToday interviewed Alina Yi, Vice President of Mingyang Smart Energy Group Limited. She emphasized that the Link's significance extends beyond reducing physical distances. "It's about establishing a presence in Zhongshan and connecting with Shenzhen and Hong Kong to bring together industries, technologies, talents, and capital resources," Yi said. She highlighted the potential for Chinese companies to participate more actively in global energy transformation.
Deng Yuwen, Deputy Director of the Zhongshan Bureau of Natural Resources, disclosed that extensive preparatory work has been conducted, including land consolidation and industrial space transformation, to attract related industries and support the integration of the Greater Bay Area (GBA). The introduction of industries from Shenzhen, particularly those that complement Zhongshan's existing industrial base, is expected to bolster the city's economic prospects.
Sun Rong, Head of the Public Transport Management Section at the Zhongshan Transport Bureau, reported that 27 cross-city buses have been dispatched. The aim is to promote economic and cultural exchanges and enhance people-to-people interactions between Zhongshan and Shenzhen. The service is anticipated to cater to future commuters and tourists, fostering a new lifestyle where residents can live in Zhongshan and work in Shenzhen, or vice versa.
The opening of the ShenZhong Link is not just an infrastructural milestone; it is a catalyst for Zhongshan's integration into the GBA. It offers a comprehensive production chain, financial services, and support for the upstream and downstream industries.
